About the department

The department maintains high standards in conducting lectures by academicians, Industrial tours, Personality development programmes, Case studies and Guest lecturers from Industry. An erudite team of faculty members moulds the enthusiastic students into multifaceted professionals.
Department of Management Studies is committed to impart Technical and Research based quality education, to develop innovative skills among the students, and to enrich the academic activities through continual improvement in the teaching and learning processes. The department also focuses on infusing confidence in the minds of students and to develop them as entrepreneurs.
It develops expertise for consultative activities by providing opportunities for industry – institute interaction.
It is also constantly upgrading the technical expertise for producing competent professionals to cater to the needs of society and to meet the global challenges. Much care is taken to involve the faculty in the development of professional skills and to take an active interest in counseling the students. The department is a recognized research centre by VTU.
Department of Management Studies & Research Centre offers a rigorous and intensive Master’s degree in Business Administration aided by an eclectic mix of academic and industry professionals.

• To provide quality technical and management education by applying best practices in teaching, learning and with the state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities.
• To mould engineers and managers with appropriate pedagogy to develop leadership qualities and skills by imbibing professional ethics to make them industry ready.
• To develop a student-centric institution that evolves and fosters the talents of budding engineers, managers and entrepreneurs and prepare them to make a positive contribution to society.

Programme Educational Objectives - PEO's

PEO 1: To provide students with outcome-based education in different management subjects to understand real-life managerial situations and to handle different challenges in the present global scenario.
PEO 2: The Postgraduates of the Management program will have a successful career in managing the business as well as non-Business organizations and emerge as Successful Entrepreneurs, by creating a conducive environment for motivating research activity in specialized areas and consultancy work.
PEO 3: Postgraduates in management will have professionalism and competency to handle the situations with the right Attitude, appropriate Skills, and related Knowledge by integrating the multidisciplinary and integrated approach to solving socio-economic issues.
PEO 4: Postgraduates in management will inculcate the habit of lifelong learning by noticing the changes in the environment by developing appropriate strategies, a sense of creativity, and innovation.
PEO 5: To provide our students with a State-of-the-art learning environment and industry-academic collaboration so as to develop managerially and inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship and enhance the ability to analyze the problems of business in order to make decisions as leaders of enterprises.
