  •  DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The department of Mechanical Engineering offers Under Graduate Program   with an intake of 120 students; the department has made rapid strides in providing all the facilities needed for training of students. Blessed with a highly qualified, dedicated and competent team of faculty members both teaching and non teaching, provides excellent practical training through well equipped and sophisticated laboratories and workshops. The department also offers post graduate program in Machine Design. The department has the distinction of being recognized as research center by VTU, Belgavi. Computerized Universal Testing Machine, High-resolution metallurgical microscope, State of the art Metrology lab, CAD/CAM lab, sophisticated IC Engines and hydraulics Lab, Heat Transfer and Design Labs are some of the unique features of the department.

-> 13 laboratories and workshops are located in new look and well designed buildings. Latest modeling and Analysis software packages are available in the CAD / CAM lab for hands on training to the students.

-> Emphasis is being laid on research and considerable consultancy work is being taken up in the department.

-> Mechanical Engineering is one of the core branches in Engineering which is highly versatile and having tremendous scope in the Design & Manufacturing fields.

-> The course emphasizes on the strong fundamentals of Mechanical engineering and blend with the inter- discipline technologies with the invention of CAD/CAM, Robotics, CNC etc.

-> The department is having highly qualified and experienced faculty members to guide the students.

-> Many of the staff members are having rich experience in the industries that helps, in imparting the practical application to the students.

-> Highly skilled and experienced Lab technicians are guiding the students in practical classes.
