FOUNDER

Sri. G. Mallikarjunappa the Founder Chairman of Shrishyla Educational Trust was from agriculture cum arecanut trading background and hails from a remote village by name Bheemasamudra near Chitradurga in Karnataka. He is a well-known philanthropist, social visionary and statesman, the then member of parliament. He started the journey with a well-known Betelnut Business at Bheemasamudra Chitradurga Dist in the name of Sri. G. Mallikarjunappa & sons.

He ventured into the Education field with a deep sense of social service to fulfill his strong desire to help the Mid Karnataka students in the year 2000 by establishing the trust. The sole objective of the Trust is to provide Quality Education to Rural and Semi Urban Region Students. Having a great vision on the increasing trend in Science and Technology to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, Srishyla Educational Trust (Regd.) has started the Flagship Engineering Institution 'GM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY' in Davangere during 2001-02 Academic year.

The Trust is propelled productively by the strong vision and leadership of Sri. G. M. Prasanna Kumar the present Chairman and Sri.G.M. Lingaraju, the secretary, ably assists him in fostering his noble ideas. Srishyla Educational Trust is managed effectively and efficiently by the trustees to meet its objectives.

1. To provide Quality Education to students and thereby contributing knowledgeable and value-based Human resources to the Country.
2. To serve society through resourceful knowledge.

Today, Srishyla Education Trust (R) Bheemasamudra has established 7 Educational Institutions with state of art infrastructure to fulfill the needs of the mid Karnataka. The trust is constantly engaged in various Philanthropic activities of the society.
